Delayed Detonation Thermonuclear Supernovae with an Extended Dark Matter Component

چکیده
We present simulations of thermonuclear supernovae admixed with an extended component fermionic cold dark matter. consider the explosion a Chandrasekhar-mass white dwarf using deflagration model deflagration-detonation transition spherical symmetry. The matter is comparable in size that normal matter, and so system described by two-fluid, one-dimensional Eulerian hydrodynamics. leaves all trapped as remnant compact star our considered models. presence lengthens phase to produce more thermo-neutrinos similar amounts iron-group elements compared those ordinary explosions no admixture. models dimmer broader light curves, which challenge role standard candles cosmic distance measurement. Our results also suggest formation path objects mimic sub-solar-mass black holes gravitational sources, through near-solar-mass supernovae.

Testing dark matter with high-redshift supernovae
Dark matter in the Universe consisting of macroscopic objects such as primordial black holes may cause gravitational lensing of distant objects. The magnification associated with lensing will lead to additional scatter in the received flux from standard candles, and too small an observed scatter could rule out compact dark matter entirely. In this letter, we show how the scatter in fluxes of di...
متن کاملSn 1984a and Delayed Detonation Models of Type Ia Supernovae
Received ; accepted – 2 – ABSTRACT SN 1984A shows unusually large expansion velocities in lines from freshly synthesized material, relative to typical Type Ia Supernovae (SNe Ia). SN 1984A is an example of a group of SNe Ia which have very large blue-shifts of the P-Cygni features, but otherwise normal spectra. We have modeled several early spectra of SN 1984A with the multipurpose NLTE model a...
متن کامل8 Thermonuclear Supernovae
The application of Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) as distance indicators in cosmology calls for a sound understanding of these objects. Recent years have seen a brisk development of astrophysical models which explain SNe Ia as thermonuclear explosions of white dwarf stars. While the evolution of the progenitor is still uncertain, the explosion mechanism certainly involves the propagation of a ther...
متن کاملTidally-induced thermonuclear Supernovae
We discuss the results of 3D simulations of tidal disruptions of white dwarfs by moderate-mass black holes as they may exist in the cores of globular clusters or dwarf galaxies. Our simulations follow self-consistently the hydrodynamic and nuclear evolution from the initial parabolic orbit over the disruption to the build-up of an accretion disk around the black hole. For strong enough encounte...
متن کاملDark Matter Ignition of Type Ia Supernovae.
Recent studies of low redshift type Ia supernovae (SN Ia) indicate that half explode from less than Chandrasekhar mass white dwarfs, implying ignition must proceed from something besides the canonical criticality of Chandrasekhar mass SN Ia progenitors. We show that 1-100 PeV mass asymmetric dark matter, with imminently detectable nucleon scattering interactions, can accumulate to the point of ...
